NCHBA President-Elect Cody Byrd was among eight NCHBA members recently named to Pro Remodeler magazine’s “40 Under 40” list. Byrd is the President of Alair Homes Hickory and is a member of the Caldwell County HBA.

“I got involved in the state and national level about 10 years ago, and that propelled our business and my professional development,” Byrd said in the article. He also stressed the importance of workforce development programs, such as Be Pro Be Proud NC, to change the stigma of the construction industry and attract the next generation of leaders.

Others recognized on the list include:

Jay Cope and Chris Harrin, co-owners of Semper Fi Custom Remodeling in Black Mountain, were both named to the list. They are members of the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Lane Boland is the Chief Operating Officer of CQC Home, a remodeling firm in Durham. He is a member of the HBA of Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties.

Ryan Holden is the President of Housing Solutions, a remodeling firm in Hillsborough. He is a member of the HBA of Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties.

Jenny Mahorney is the President and Lead Designer of Behind the Scenes Design in Raleigh. She is a member of the HBA of Raleigh-Wake County.

Jennifer Hutton is the Design Manager and Principal Designer for Durham-based Grau Building Company, a member of the HBA of Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties.

Scott Grover is a Project Manager with Alair Homes Charlotte, a member of the Lake Norman HBA.
