The Job-Site Safety Institute (JSI) has announced that J. Gary Hill has been named to the position of Executive Director. Hill is the successor to previous Executive Director, Bill Schaffner.

“JSI is fortunate to have Gary as our new Executive Director,” states Mike Gerber, President of the Job-Site Safety Institute. “Gary brings more than four decades of experience in building and development and has played an active role in various capacities with the local, state and National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). His experience, dedication and understanding of the Job-Site Safety Institute’s mission make him a valuable addition in this leadership role with JSI.” 

Hill is President of J. Gary Hill, LLC. He is a two-term, past president of the North Carolina Home Builders Association (NCHBA), a past president of the Greensboro Builders Association, and has served on and chaired numerous committees of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the Greensboro Housing Authority. He is a Senior Life Director for NAHB and Past Chair of the NAHB Construction, Safety and Health Committee. Hill also served on the Board of Directors for Builders Mutual Insurance Company and was a charter board member of the Job-Site Safety Institute.

Founded by Builders Mutual, the Job-Site Safety Institute (JSI) is a nonprofit research and educational organization dedicated to eliminating all job-site related injuries and deaths in the construction industry. Research by JSI will play a critical role in improving on-the-job safety and saving lives.
