Our hearts ache for our brothers and sisters in western North Carolina who have a long process ahead rebuilding and restoring their communities.
On September 28, the NCHBA Senior Officers voted to provide $100,000 from the NC Home Builders Educational and Charitable Foundation for hurricane recovery. These funds will be used to help our members, local associations and others in need during these difficult times. We asked our members to join us and they responded in a big way! We have shattered our goal to raise $200,000 – we’ve now surpassed $300,000 to help with these efforts.
The NC Home Builders Educational and Charitable Foundation is now starting the process of accepting applications for recovery grants. HBA members affected by Hurricane Helene are encouraged to download the grant application in order to receive funds to start the process of rebuilding their businesses and their lives.
NCHBA is partnering with the Raleigh-based US Veterans Corps to assist with relief efforts in western NC. The US Veterans Corps is traveling back and forth to communities affected by Hurricane Helene to deliver supplies, prepare meals and more. NCHBA is proud to support the US Veterans Corps efforts as its travel sponsor. Watch this video to learn more
