Statewide Skills Competitions Draws Thousands of High School Students

SkillsUSA NC held its annual state conference April 23-25 in Greensboro, NC. The organization’s skills contest events attract thousands of high school students. The NC Home Builders Association is proud to be among the sponsors of SkillsUSA NC. Moreover, several of our members and senior leadership contribute their time to help organize and judge the carpentry skills competition.

Katie Mariani of Builders Mutual (left) and Buddy Hughes, NAHB First Vice Chairman of the Board and a past NCHBA president, were each presented with a Champion Award by SkillsUSA NC in recognition of their years of service and support to the organization.
