Workforce Development Regional Scholarship Winners Recognized

The NC Home Builders Educational and Charitable Foundation recently announced the winners of the new Workforce Development Regional Scholarship Program. The foundation presented a total of 18 scholarships – including 6 overall winners and 12 honorable mention winners to community college and/or technical school students from across North Carolina.
In recent weeks, NC Home Builders Association leadership has traveled the state to present these scholarships to the 6 regional winners. Photos will be added as winners are recognized. Congratulations to these students!
NCHBA Executive Vice President Tim Minton (right) presented a Workforce Development Regional Scholarship to Region 1 winner Geoffrey Edwards (center). A graduate of East Carteret High School, Edwards is enrolled at Carteret Community College in Morehead City, where he is pursuing Business and Construction Trades. Carteret County Home Builders Association President Raymond Mann (second from left) and Executive Officer Jennifer Lewis (left) were present along with Edwards’ parents Troy and Dora Edwards.
Region 2 winner Trace Christman (center) is joined by his parents as well as L-R NCHBA past president Charles Mullen, Nash Community College Foundation Executive Director Pamela Ballew, NC Home Builders Charitable Foundation Chairman Wes Carroll, NCHBA Executive Vice President Tim Minton, and Nash Community College President Lew Hunnicutt.

Region Four winner Tyler Leak of Eden, NC will attend Rockingham Community College.
Region 7 winner Chance Mastin attends Wilkes Community College. NCHBA Executive Vice President Tim Minton presented him with a certificate of recognition at a meeting of the Wilkes-Yadkin HBA.
Region 8 winner Jackson Owen (third from left) was recognized at Blue Ridge Community College. Joining him are (L-R) Tim Minton, NCHBA Region 8 Vice President Gus Adams, and 2023 NCHBA President Brandon Bryant.
